How Big Hit Came To Be
With almost 25 years combined experience in the fitness industry, we’ve certainly gotten to know what works and what people enjoy most. One thing we noticed was the people really liked hitting things – pads, a bag, us, it didn’t matter, as long as there was something to pound on, most were excited to participate. It was a great way to relieve the stress and tension of the day, and far more socially acceptable than beating up the guy who cut you off in traffic or smashing your computer to bits when it failed to save your 50 page report.
While realizing the universal passion for hitting things was substantial, we also learned that an intense hour of kickboxing can burn up to 900 insane calories an hour! That’s more than a Big Mac Combo! (Note: don’t go have a Big Mac Combo after class, we’re just trying to create a visual here!). We wanted to offer the pleasure of hitting something in an acceptable environment and make it even more fun, by adding music, combinations, and a welcoming atmosphere of camaraderie and community.
Once BOB was introduced to us, we new we had met our perfect partner – sparring with him was way more fun than a boring old bag or pads and the scowl on his rubber face was just begging for a punch or a backhand. He was as excited as we were about bring cardio boxing and kickboxing to the community, and the rest, as they say, was history.
FOR A FUN, ENERGIZING, STRESS-RELIEVING WORKOUT, IT DOESN’T GET MUCH BETTER THAN SPENDING AN HOUR AT BIG HIT STUDIOS WITH BOB! AND IF YOU DO DECIDE TO GET THAT BIG MAC COMBO AFTER ALL, AT LEAST YOU’LL KNOW YOU EARNED IT!
